Topic of Thesis: The Strategic Planning for Tour Marketing: Miaoli County Case Study The tour industry becomes one of the important developmental enterprise, and is the most potential in 21th century since it becomes more competitive and the state’s “2008 Tourist Double” program was executed. Recently the state pays more attention to the tour industry and positions it as the leading service industry in Taiwan. In fact, the tourism becomes the new indicator for local marketing and development beside the social welfare and culture etc. It is also defined as the new indicator of local competitive power by Foresight Magazine in 2004. There are many tour resources in Miaoli County. The geological resources include rivers, mountains, coasts, and plateaus etc. The natural resources include hot spring, and deity trees etc. The human resources include multiple ethnic culture and delicious food. General speaking, her unique, fascinating scene makes Miaoli County a potential tourism paradise. The research findings in this thesis include: 1.Tour policy dimension: (1)To focus on the Hakka cultural tour. (2) To construct the Hakka slow city. (3) To integrate promotion to support the sustainable tour policy. 2.Tour supply dimension: (1)To construct a brilliant and gradational tour system. (2)Reward the environmental landscape improvement. (3) To construct the charming scenes to upgrade the tour image. 3.Tour demand dimension: To develop the short stay for the domestic market and superfine life tour for international tour market. 4.Tour marketing dimension: (1) Integrate the county-whole resources to deepen the tour image. (2) Cooperate with the movie and drama circles to bring about the topical subjects. (3) Make up the local tour merchandises. 5.Tour service dimension: To make tour seamless connection by the strategic coalitions of tour buses, and to construct the voluntary tour guide and the appraisal systems.
