| Popis: | 96 The gong, traditionally, closely linked with humanity's life, because of demands of performance, devised to the different type, called ‘gong chimes’. Compare with the traditional, craftsmen of gong chimes making encounter a new challenge: How to manufacture a gong chimes with suitable pitch and timbre for the demand of an ensemble. For such purpose, the object of the research was set on the making process and acoustic character as performing. The foreword based on the classifications and the functions of gong, treated characters of the gone chimes, selected two kinds, the yunluo and the Lin-wu gong as major studying objects, and make comparison with other kinds of gone or gone chimes. The research used the literature study, field study, and acoustic measurements, and material study, the main subject is the making process and acoustic measurements of gong chimes. In the part of the gone chimes manufacturing procedure, included three subjects: The manufacture way, the material analysis, and the tuning skill. The first, generalized the manufacturing way of gone chimes by literature discussion and factory close-up interviews in the manufactory. The second, in addition to literature study, assayed the ingredient and the degree of hardness of the finished. The third, in the subject of tuning skill, mainly interviewed craftsmen of gong chimes making and tuners of manufactory. In the part of acoustics analysis, initially, studying literatures of excavation, relative researches, then comparing the analytic results by acoustical instruments with different kinds of acoustics characteristic. This outline of the research as follows: Firstly, summarized the evolutional process of manufacture skills of the gone chimes, to combine with the data analyzed by instruments of acoustic measurements, then generalized analysis of materials and the skill of the tuning skills. The expectation is through processes of manufacture and acoustic measurements, discovery the live reforms of the gong chimes. |
