| Popis: | 96 The Ministry of Education of the Taiwanese government has begun requesting to all foreign language Schools and Universities to propose of a criterion for the evaluation of the second language as a requirement for graduation with the purpose of understanding student’s level for communication. In view of this, we hope that this study can serve as reference for Spanish department teachers. This thesis will try to investigate and to know the passing rate of D.E.L.E.’s reading comprehension test of Providence Spanish department students. Its is considered the following objectives for this work: 1. To find out the passing rate of D.E.L.E.’s reading comprehension test at basic level for Providence Spanish department third grade students; 2. To find out the passing rate of D.E.L.E.’s reading comprehension test at middle level for Providence Spanish department fourth grade students. The contents of the study are classified into six great chapters that are: (1) general formulation of the project, (2) concept of the reading understanding, (3) basic knowledge of the D.E.L.E. (Diploma of Spanish as Foreign Language), (4) concept of evaluation, (5) application of test D.E.L.E. for Providence University students; and (6) analysis and interpretation of result.
