The intervening effect of Negative Emotion on relationship between Job Stress and Workplace Deviance Behavior

With the rapidly environment development and severely global competition, the increasing high pressure of employees at work has become an inevitable circumstance. The behaviors of escape working and quit working due to job stress also become a focal point that scholars concern. To review the literatures, there were a few of them to explore whether the job stress will impact the deviant workplace behaviors of employee to the organization. Therefore, this research will be firstly to investigate the perspective of employee’s negative emotion as an intervening variable and that will be examined if it will influence the relationship between job stress and deviant workplace behavior. The research group is for Taipei high technology industry employees. The results came to 444 transversely effective samples and the effective returns-ratio is 78.86%. The results show that job stress of employee and deviant work-place behavior presents positive correlation; in addition, employee’s negative emotion has some mediating effects to job stress and deviant workplace behavior. As a result, these outcomes will help the manag-ers understand the influence of job stress to deviant workplace behav-ior, and provide the beneficial management suggestion to assist the organization lower the loss which caused by deviant workplace be-havior.
