| Popis: | 96 The Global Warming problem has became more and more serious today, eve-ryone pays more attention to environmental protection issues in the whole world. Scott said that environmental problems are our problems. The environmental prob-lems give the firms huge pressure. More and more country in the world require man-ufacturers to obtain ISO 14001 certification, which means that ISO 14001 certifica-tion is important to the firms. Corporate Reputation can improve competitiveness of the firm. From the perspective of the firms, Corporate Reputation is of great impor-tance. The purpose of the study is to examine Corporate Reputation after obtaining the ISO 14001 certification. In Tobin’s q-1 from TEJ database are used as the proxy of Corporate Reputation. ROA from TEJ database are used as the proxy of Financial Performance. Research samples including obtaining and non-obtaining firms col-lected from the TSE & OTC Listed Company between 2000 and 2006. Regressions are used to examine our hypothesis. Research findings support our argument that Corporate Reputation of obtaining the ISO 14001 certification is better than non-obtaining and Financial Performance of obtaining the ISO 14001 certification is better than non-obtaining. |
