| Popis: | 96 This article examines Confucian values and their viewpoint on family business succession. Several implications are drawn. One of these is that Confucianism places family business in a social context in which the interpersonal relationships inside and outside the business family are subject to a variety of environmental influences. Examining family firms in their social context provides more complete understanding of the dynamics underlying choices and activities in family firms. This article also helps better understand succession in Chinese family businesses. After interview five firm’s successors,we have argued that the Confucian effect on succession is generally positive. Showing as following: 1.Confucian influence is positively related to the founders' acceptance of succession in Chinese family businesses. 2.Confucian influence is positively related to successors' acceptance of succession in Chinese family businesses. 3.Confucian influence is positively related to family acceptance of succession in Chinese family businesses. 4.Confucian influence is positively related to firm acceptance of succession in Chinese family businesses. 5.Confucian influence is positively related to networked organizations' facilitation of succession in Chinese family businesses. |
