Popis: | 96 The resilience advocates strengthening an individual’s adaptation, and reacting to the pressure of environmental change successfully. Therefore, the research stresses the exploration of resilience in the course of career transition successfully to understand the connotation of resilience, the course of activation, and the resilience’s influences on a person of successful career transition. The research took a thirty-eight-year-old female that changed from a kindergarten teacher to vendor of sausage wrapped in glutinous rice (small sausage in large sausage) as the subject to do four times of interview and two times of field observation of work. The research used the perspective of constructivism, and adopted narrative study to construct the research subject’s story of resilience in the course of career transit. The research findings regarding the resilience connotation of the person of successful career transition, the activation course, and the influences are as follows: 1. The connotation of resilience and the course of activation: at the part of personal cognition, she has insight for the environmental change and role change, has firm confidence, believes every individual/ event has its uniqueness, can search for the meaning of change, and has the motive and goal following the hope to progress; at the part of personal characteristics, she has independence, good communication ability, characteristic of striving for victory, and perseverance power; the part of reaction strategy includes the pressure management of business achievement and the ability to solve a problem. The resilience is activated by the predicament or the insight of a crisis, and the perseverance power with faith and hope, the characteristic of striving for victory, and good social skill are the core of course of resilience; the activation of resilience course depends on the interaction between the individual’s internal features and external support. 2. The influences of resilience: The influences of resilience activation results include promotion of self-esteem, respecting other people, display of empathy, change of thought, a sense of humor, reconstructing the negative event, and higher appreciation for life. Finally, the research proposed the following suggestions for people who desire to have career transit and relevant researchers in the future: 1. Suggestions for people who desire to have career transit: finding an unchanging faith in the changing/ dynamic life; with firm confidence; digging available resources; developing good social skill; understanding the features and ability of oneself; transforming the viewpoint for change, and being brave to endow it with a hope and meaning. 2. Suggestions for relevant researchers in the future: increasing number of people of interview subjects; adding “gender’ issue; probing into the relationship between the characteristic of striving for victory and the resilience in depth; discussing the operation mechanism of perseverance of career transit resilience in depth. |
