Evaluation of Suitability for Energy Crops Grown in Heavy Metal Easily Movable Area in Pingtung County

This research uses the concept and technology of GIS(Geographic Information System) collocating with TALIS to estimate the spread classification of heavy metal on soil at Pingtung county.This research also uses TALIS to estimate plant adaptability in energy crops”mazine, sunflower, soybean,rapeseed,sugarcane and peanut” at farm lands in Pingtung and then probe into plant adaptability at areas that most probably heavy metal easy spread. On aspects of heavy metal spread classification estimation at farm land in Pingtung county,the extreme not easy spread areas are 275 hectares(<1%),the not easy spread areas are 1936 hectares(2%),general spread areas are 84058 hectares (10%),easy spread areas are 13713 hectares(17%), extreme easy spread areas are 586641 hectares(71%).Therefore soil in Pingtung county belong to pollution sensitive areas. Analysis on aspects of plant adaptability at farm land in Pingtung county,at first and secone grade plant adaptability area is repeseed(28067 hectares) >sweet patato(23396 hectares)>soybean(10375 hectares) >sugarcane(8176 hectares) >sunflower(7350 hectares) >mazine(6400 hectares) >peanut(1474 hectares). After statistic by telescope graphs,six energy crops at first and second grade of easy spread and extreme easy spread areas are rapeseed(35.6%)>sweet potato(29.3%)>soybean(13.9%)>sugarcane(11.2%)>sunflower(9.7%)>mazine(8.5%)>peanut(1.9%). Therefore planting rapeseed on pollution sensitive farm lands at Pingtung is the best than other five energy croops based on TALIS.
