A Study on the relevance among the Students' Learning Well-being, School life adaptation and Learning Self-Efficacy in the High Schools in Kaohsiung

Popis: | 96 The purpose of the study was to investigate the relationship among the Kaohsiung and Pingtung high school students' learning well-being, school life adaptation and learning self-efficacy in the high schools in. The research method this study adopted is survey research. Questionnaires were mailed to 1600 high school students of Kaohsiung in Taiwan. There were 1542 valid responses, and a success rate of 99.16%.The collected data was analyzed by using the statistical methods of reliability analysis, factor analysis, descriptive statistics, one-way MANOVA, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, canonical correlation and multiple regression (step-wise-regression procedure). The conclusions of this study are: 1. The students who were the third academic group, interested in medical science and didn’t recognize the relation of learning well-being with education reform perceived the higher performance of students' learning well-being in school. 2. The students who were girl, come from city, the third academic group or pending for categorized into different academic groups perceived the better performance of school life adaptation in school. 3. The students who were pending for categorized into different academic groups and negate the relation of learning happiness and education reform perceived the higher performance of learning self-efficacy. 4. The higher students' learning well-being in school performance was, the more easily school life adaptation had a positive result; the better school life adaptation was, the better the performance of learning self-efficacy result; the more positive function students' learning self-efficacy in school performance was, the better the performance of learning well-being promoted. 5. The performance of students' learning well-being in school and school life adaptation predict the performance of learning self-efficacy fine, especially the “psychological adjustment” aspect. Based on the purposes of research, literature review, and data analysis results, this study provides suggestions respectively on the institute of educational administration, high school and future studies: 1. For educational administrative organizations: (1) To promote students’ self- psychological adaptation, educational administration institution should construct good counseling systems. (2) To help students in suburbs to adapt their life, educational administration institution should carry out high schools and vocational schools communalization. (3) To promote students’ adaptation of life and well-being, educational administration institutions should establish a sound consideration for the shift of complete schools. (4) To help the development of the schools in suburbs, educational administration institution should consider the problems of unbalanced resource distribution of the city and countryside schools. (5) To improve students’ sense of well-being, educational administration institution should consider the employment of students from different academic categories. (6) To promote students and parents’ support for educational reform, educational administration institution should clearly declare the intentions and purposes of each education reform. 2. For school administration: (1) To help the development of counseling functions, schools should assist students to consider the choices in each category. (2) Schools have to train students’ frustration tolerance to help them to promote their school adaptation, psychology adaptation, learning of self-efficiency and learning well-being. (3) Teachers should emphasize on gender counseling strategies to promote students’ adaptation of life. (4) To promote the characteristics of each school, schools should try to interact with each other during the various stages of high school education. (5) To look after the mental and physical aspects of a student’s life, schools should emphasize on balanced development of students’ learning. (6) To promote students’ adaptation of learning materials levels and cognition load, schools should emphasize on proper arrangements of curriculums. (7) To broaden students’ sense of well-being, schools should develop a student’s positive outlook on life. 3. For further studies : including advices on samples and methodology. |
