Domestic rising awareness of ecological conservation in recent years,making use of native plants for environmental restoration has been deemed one of the ecological conservation indicators. To comply with the standards of biological diversity, the native plants can really provide for environmental restoration but the type is still a bit inadequate. The reason for this is the incomplete basis information of individual species, making the use inevitably producing some of the deficiencies. In addition, high levels of economic development in modern society, plants provide to improve the living environment quality, in modern life also to play a Fanpuguizhen, and to pursuit the important elements of healthy living, which was as health food or daily supplies. In Many cases, it even produe valuable drugs. Therefore, the plant has not been reducing the importance with the development of human civilization, but played a more important role. The causes is the application of modern technology, the change of traditional habit of the use rather than to detect the use of scientific methods to identify the key composition and function. That is rather than, traditional research areas of the forest product processing and use of chemical analysis in addition to extract elements isolated and identified, also strengthen the study of health, medical and public service function, as one of the important themes. Based on the original Myristica ceylanica as the goal, through literature and survey, its landscape planting and in the food, health and medicine of the application, and other aspects of the problem explore its future potential.The results showed that, depending on the distribution and the natural ecological habits, the species most suitable for the low land and the coastal plains in Taiwan, this proposal should be included the plains landscape planting trees and the environment beautifying green trees in the directory. Moreover, each III part of the Myristica ceylanica extract, rich in antioxidants, but the fruit of the lowest (115.3 mg CE / g), the rest are in the 190 mg CE / g above. The extract in different parts of the leaves out of the DPPH radical, superoxide radical removal of the effect of reducing capacity and the best. In addition, the sequestration capacity of the ferrous ions, taking only the fruit of such a capacity.
