Popis: | 96 The synthesis of metal complexes from ligands containing nitrogen, oxygen, and sulfur atoms is a fascinating area to explore because those complexes own potentiality as models for metal enzymes. The reaction of cysteamine hydrochloride with M(II)ions (M = Co, Ni, Cu) followed by addition of salicylaldehyde afforded the dinuclear complexes containing Schiff base ligands {2-[(2-thioethyl)iminomethyl]phenol or 2,2’-di(2-hydroxybenzaliminoethyl)disulfide}. Their structures, determined by x-ray absorption spectrometer and IR analysis, are largely different from previous proposed structure published by Beloglazkina, EK, et al. (Russ. Chem. Bull., Int. Ed., 2007, 56,1374-1379), although the methods for synthesis of those complexes are very similar. In addition, 1,3,5-trimeoxy-2,4,6-bis(2,2’-disulfanediyldianilinyl[1]methyl)benzene, and its disulfide bond crossed-linked cage molecule were synthesized and characterized by X-ray, IR and NMR analysis. The covalent or noncovalent interactions between the synthesized cage molecule and the guest molecules, mostly anions, are also described in this thesis. |
