Investigation on the Factors of Leisure Agriculture Based on the Viewpoint of Ecotourism

| Popis: | 96 Agriculture income was the main economical support at country and suburban before Taiwan entered WTO at 2002. Since the WTO''s rules do not allow the price barrier system to protect the local agricultural productions. Some of local productions are forced to be suspended due to lack of price competence. This lead some of the farmers loose their financial capability and lots of social problem occur concurrently. If the country scenic and typical properties of local activity can be rebuilt under a concept of knowledge based tour, there might be a new vision to sustain the country yard system. Ecotourism is a brand new concept for people go out traveling without inferring the ecosystem and environment. This thesis intends to investigate the possible factors affecting the promotion of ecotourism at the country side. The background status of rural area at Taiwan was overviewed at first. Then, the evolution of ecotourism is reviewed in order to implement the leisure agriculture system. Humanity, environment, ecology and production are gathered as the fundamental frames and many of sub-frames are proposed later at this paper. AHP is adopted at this research and questionnaires are designed to obtain the relative weights of factors mentioned above. Experts, residents of Da-Hsu Hsiang and travelers on the investigated site are invited to fill the questionnaire. Results indicate that “Ecological resource conservation” is the common consensus among the factors summarized on the questionnaire. Regardless of the background of people interviewed, geographical property, scenic, biological property, water resource and ecological conservation are the important sub-factors to create a sustainable leisure agriculture system. This is a very significant meaning that the interested site, Da-Hsu Hsiang, may take more effort on these terms to promote their sustainable development on leisure agriculture. |
