| Popis: | 96 WCO develops Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade to strengthen the security and facilitation of global trade under the principle of without interference of international trade. Taiwan economy is oriented by international trade, and therefore establishing high quality circumstances and network for our economy and trade to enable us to connect with the countries around the world and upgrade our competition ability have become the most important assignments for Taiwan. Taiwan will adopt and put into practice the WCO SAFE in the years to come. The utilization of the exchange of advanced electronic information, mutual recognition of Authorized Economic Operators, and the assistance of Container Security Initiative, will strengthen the communication between government and business, facilitate the global trade and help build up modern Customs to cater for world trend. After the introduction of Framework, Taiwan Customs will be encouraged to strengthen the cooperation between Customs administrations, provide the mutual recognition of controls under certain circumstance, and eliminate duplicate procedures of application and examination. All these will enable Taiwan Customs to speed up the clearance procedures of cargos and increase our revenue. Now it is the right time for us to harmonize the clearance systems of Taiwan Customs and the one of WCO Framework of Standards to Secure and Facilitate Global Trade. This will lead Taiwan Customs to give the same consideration to both the security and facilitation for international trade, and furthermore set up the win-win circumstance for both Customs and Businesses, and go a step further to enhance the competition ability of Taiwan. |
