Sensor Deployment for Continuous Coverage in Distributed Sensor Networks

Popis: | 96 Many recent researches concentrate on designing a good wireless sensor network system to monitor the physical environment. Having a good WSN deployment is a hard work, but it will repay the system with higher system dependability. Virtual Force Algorithm (VFA) uses the concept of virtual attractive and repulsive forces on each other to produce a big coverage area plan. However, VFA has a “blind point” in its deployment, which is not able to offer a continuous service region. We propose a virtual centre gravity algorithm, called Centralized Virtual Force Algorithm 组 CVFA, to deal with the trade off between the coverage and connectivity. The assessments of CVFA are conducted on Matlab platform and show the practical feasibility of the continuous coverage. Such a technique can provide the key answer required for advancing the state-of-the-art in a real sensor deployment. |
