Chloride diffusivity has a great effect on the durability of reinforced concrete. Understanding the chloride diffusivity will be helpful to predict the model of chloride diffusion, prevent the corrosion, and reduce the risk and destruction that brought by chloride diffusion. So far, the experiments concerned the chloride diffusion coefficients do not meet the current conditions. In this research, we interrogate the chloride diffusivity by immersing the specimens cement mortar completely in the salty water. The process of this experiment is as follows: First, taking specimens of cement mortar, each volume is 5 cubic centimeters, and then put these specimens separately in salty water of 3 %, 6%, 9%, and 12%. Second, getting these specimens out of the salty water, and to measure the chloride concentration of each. Finally, using Fick’s diffusion law and least square method to analyze the data of result by regression model. Through the experiment and the analysis of the data, we obtain the chloride diffusion coefficients of cement mortar and saturated concentration of chloride. We also find the proportional constant between saturated concentration of chloride and concentration of the salty water. After analyzing and comparing the saturated concentration of chloride and the concentration of the salty water above, the result demonstrates highly relative relation of proportion.
