Popis: | 95 Caring for the dying patients conflicted with the nurses’ distress of spiritual. The purpose of this research is to explore the transforming process of nurses after conflicts from caring for the dying patients on their spiritual sufferings. This thesis employed phenomenology to investigate 8 nurses who worked for hospice ward at medical center in Taipei. Data were collected by open-structured interviews and analyzed by reflective analysis (Embree, 2003). Therefore, the results were revealed as suffering from emotional labor, learning to take care of self, and being able to take care of others. Suffering from emotional labor involved with facing to others’ distress, and recalling from losing of family members. Self care needed to learn from touching to a series of healing patients, to deal with unfinished business, and to join patients’funeral ceremonies. Through personal knowledge and practice can explore the ability of caring for people and make conflicts became medium of training myself to transforming oneself |
