Popis: | 95 The Effects of the Picture Book with Mandala Course on Improving Kindergartner s’ Creativity Abstract The purpose of the research was to design a picture book with Mandala Course for kindergarteners based on L. A. Chen(1989) “ATDE” creative thinking teaching model, and to scrutinize the impacts of twelve experimental courses of creativity on young children. A nonequivalent pretest-posttest experimental design was employed from a kindergarten in Taipei, and the subjects of this study were selected and divided into the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group consisted of 30 kindergarteners participating in twelve picture book with Mandala courses while the control group consisted of 27 kindergarteners participating in general courses. The instrument was “The New Tests of Creative Thinking,”by Dr. Wu. The data were analyzed by using one-way ANCOVA. The results of the study were concluded as follows: 1. The figure assessment results of “The New Tests of Creative Thinking,”in fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration, the experimental group performed significantly better than the control group. The performance of the experimental group was significantly better than those of the controlled group in figure fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. 2. This teaching course is accepted and liked by kindergarteners. Based on the results, the research proposed some suggestions to the workers of Early Childhood Education, parents, and researchers as references in research or teaching in the future.
