Popis: | 95 The purpose of this study is to construct the Ecotourism Development Impact Scale (EDIS) for residents. Based on the steps of scale development, the researcher constructed a standardized testing tool for further exploration. Based on the relevant literature, the researcher developed multiple dimensions of the ecotourism development impacts. There were six dimensions in the scale, “Positive Socio-Culture”, “Negative Socio-Culture”, “Positive Economic”, “Negative Economic”, “Positive Environment”, and “Negative Environment”. Sampled from residents in Puli town, Nantou County, there were 390 valid samples for this study. The EDIS has 25 items resulted from the data was analyzed by proper statistical procedures. Structural equation modeling and competing modeling of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) are adopted to select the optimal model and assure the reliability and validity of the scale. The findings show that a second-order two-factor oblique model could be considered the best model. One of the second-order factor was named “Positive Ecotourism Development Impact”, which has three first-order factor, “Positive Socio-Culture”, “Positive Economic”, and “Positive Environment”. Another second-order factor was named “Negative Ecotourism Development Impact”, which has three first-order factor, “Negative Socio-Culture”, “Negative Economic”, and “Negative Environment”. The reliability and construct validity of this model has be confirmed, and this scale can be used for further investigation. |
