The two days off per week policy encourages the people to have more opportunities in recreation. However, litter problems are increasing due to intensive recreation use. Therefore, the visitor’s littering behavior is an important subject in recreational area management. Especially the recreation is happen in the natural environment, since its management is difficult. It is an effective practice how to make the visitors take the trash away themselves, even take away the others leave. Thus, the purpose of this study was to clarify visitor’s characteristics, environmental attitude, sense of place and territoriality whether would influence the visitor’s trash collection behavior in the experimental environment. The results will offer useful information to recreation management in nature environment. This study place was at Lilung Mountain Natural trail and combined experimental and survey methods, i.e. on one hand observed this hiker’s trash (PET bottle) collection behavior, and follow up using questionnaire interviewed this hiker on the other hand. Totally we had 120 effective samples. Through statistical analysis, important conclusion and suggestion were as follows: 1. Most hikers (80.8%) did not collect trash, the visitor who collected trash only accounts for 19.2%. But most hikers (72.5%) answered “How will you deal with, if the Lilung Mountain’s environment disorderly and dirty” question were positive to help. This result shows there are a gap between behavior intention and actual behavior. 2. In influencing the difference examination of hiker’s environmental attitude factor, “age”, “education level”, and “courses of environment” from the socio-economic background, “whether with companion”, “occupied a place” in the travel characteristic, were significantly different. 3. In influencing the difference examination of hikers’ sense of place factor, “age”, “level of education”, and “annual income” from the socio-economic background, “hiking history”, ”frequency of visit”, “whether with companion”, “occupied a place” in the travel characteristic, were significantly different. 4. In influencing the difference examination of hikers’ environmental conservation behavior factor, “occupied a place” in the travel characteristic, degree of territoriality, environmental conservation behavior, and the factor of experience and share, were significantly different.
