This study is intended to investigate women’s experiences in using menstrual products. “Body concepts” and “Sexuality discourses” are applies as the theoretical frameworks to analyze the following research questions: (1) What body concepts are revealed by sanitary napkin and tampon users; (2) What sexuality discourses influence the users and how they are influenced by these sexuality discourses. In this study, the researcher interviewed thirteen young, unmarried women, aging between 18~30. Through the interview, the researcher compiles some possible factors that account for Taiwanese women’s experiences in using menstrual products. In the part of “body concepts”, the researcher compiles three kinds of body concepts revealed by participants: 1. Veiled and obscure bodies that can’t be known. 2. Precious bodies cherished by participants. 3. Conflicts between our bodies and things not belong to our bodies. In the part of “Sexuality discourses”, the researcher found that the participants are influenced by the concepts, such as “Hymen Complex”, “love worth awaiting” and “gain and loss logic of body”. Furthermore, the participants are also significantly influenced by their previous learning experiences.
