This essay tries to build the religious sphere in East Rift Valley in Han people’s folklore belief. Firstly, the range of religious sphere in East Rift Valley is divided into “ village characteristic” and “super-village characteristic” two different level of religious sphere, and these two characteristics coexist in East Rift Valley. In the situation of regional distribution, the “village characteristic” religious sphere is concentrated in two sides of East Rift Valley, and the “super-village characteristic” religious sphere is scattered in the middle area. This phenomenon has great relationship with the history of forming village. In the space distribution of major god belief in religious sphere this area, it also can do the similar division. In the northern and middle part this area has the major god belief in “Guan Di(關帝)” and “Folklore Buddhism(民間佛教)”, and in the southern part this area has the major god belief in “Matzu(媽祖)” belief. Secondly, in the aspect of major god belief, the combination of people displays the complex characteristic of tribal population for this area is late developed area in development history. So in belief, the major god of higher god character, such as Bodhisattva(觀世音菩薩), Gautama Buddha(釋迦牟尼佛) and so on, the “Folklore Buddhism(民間佛教)” belief, “Guan Di(關帝)” belief and “Matzu(媽祖)” belief are the main stream belief in this area. Finally, the eastern area of Han people’s Society formed with second migration has close relationship with its native hometown in the source of belief. Among all religious sphere this area, from the analysis of the source of god, Han people in eastern area almost come from western hometown and do agriculture here. When they settle down their villages, they have the consensus of belief need. So they choose the major belief of famous temple in western native hometown as their belief center.
