This study investigated the sources and impact of stress(job satisfaction, physical health, mental health, turnover intention)of anesthetists in medical centers and regional hospitals. This study used perceived ability-job fit as moderator to examine the impact on the effect of job stress. The results showed that job stress had effect on job satisfaction and partial negative effect on physical health and mental health but partial positive effect on turnover intention. Perceived ability-job fit had moderating effect between job stress and job satisfaction, turnover intention.The predictors of organization satisfaction were “lack of organizational and family support”, “work load”, “relationships”, “anesthetist-specific stressors”and “perceived ability-job fit”;the predictors of job itself satisfaction, mental health were “lack of organizational and family support”, “anesthetist-specific stressors”and “perceived ability-job fit”;the predictors of physical health and turnover intention were “anesthetist-specific stressors”and “perceived ability-job fit”。
