Acid-base indicators have the different colors in different pH values, because the molecular structures were changed via the effect of protonation and deprotonation. Because of the interference of the fluorescence, it is difficult to obtain the good enough Raman spectra from the conventional Raman spectrometer. The SERS technique was developed for more than thirty years and it is proved to succeed in getting the nice Raman spectra form the fluorescent molecule. This research focused on the SERS phenomenon of the indicators in the solution with different pH valus, different kinds of salts and different kinds of silver nanoparticls. The chemical and physical interactions between the silver nanoparticles, indicators, and the halide ions were discussed from the SERS spectra which were changed in many conditions.
