The Effects of Multimedia Assisted Instruction on Elementary School Students' Learning Motivation and Classroom Climate of Physical Education

Popis: | 95 The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences of the elementary school students,learning motivation and classroom climate between the multimedia and traditional teaching method. The subjects are the fifth grade students of Puren elementary school in Taoyuan County .Thirty-eight students join the group of multimedia teaching method, and the other one is thirty-two students. The total experiment time is fourteen classes between seven weeks. Two groups of students need to be tested with the ARCS motivation scale and physical education classroom climate scale for the former and post data. After statistical analysis, the results indicate (1) between the former and post test analysis, there are no significant differences of learning motivation including of concentration, self related, self-confidence, satisfaction and classroom climate including of the teacher support, peer support and solidarity satisfaction in the control group (2) between the former and post test analysis, there are significant differences of learning motivation including of concentration, self related, satisfaction and teacher support of classroom climate in the experimental group. But there are no significant differences in the self-confidence, peer support and solidarity satisfaction. (3) in the post test analysis, Multimedia-aided teaching in motivation including of concentration, self related, satisfaction and teacher support of classroom climate was significantly better than the controlling group. However, there is no difference between two groups in confidence, classroom climate, peer support and solidarity satisfaction. So, we can make a suggestion that multimedia-aided teaching can promote the learning motivation of PE. |
