An Implementation of TMS320F2808 DSP-based Induction Motor Drive Control System Design for Treadmill

In this thesis, we design a DSP-based induction motor (IM) drive system for the equipment of treadmill. Three main designs and results are obtained: (1) Successfully applying the consuming chip of switching power supply to the multiple outputs dc power supply design. (2) Single board digital signal processor (DSP) control board design using TI TMS320F2808 chip. (3) Induction motor drive system design using TI TMS320F2808 DSP. DC power supply design based on switching mode strategy has high conversion efficiency and small volume as compared with the conventional diode rectifier circuit. To build the necessary dc power supplies for inverter circuits, we successfully used the TinySwitch-II controller to build a multiple outputs switching mode dc power supply. In the following, we design a single board DSP control board for the development of control algorithm. The kernel is TI TMS320F2808 32-bits fixed point DSP. Finally, we associate those two systems previous mentioned with the IGBT-based switching system to develop an induction motor drive system for treadmill. Experimental results show that the system performances have been initially reached.
