Popis: | 95 The objective of present experimental study is to investigate the convective heat transfer enhancement in turbine disks with rib turbulators. The experimental model is a rotor-stator disk system consisting of a rim-shroud stator disk and a parallel rotor disk with rib turbulators mounted on heat transfer surface. In order to discuss the effects of different rib turbulators, two rib configurations, radial and annual, are considered. The coolant flow enters wheelspace from the axis of the upstream stator disk and impinges on the center region of the downstream rotor disk. Then the coolant flows radially outward through the rim shroud. The local temperatures at disk surfaces are acquired via by using a data acquisition system with wireless data transmission modules. The experiment parameters include dimensionless gap ratio, G= 0.08、0.1、0.12; cooling flow Reynolds number, 7000、10000、14000 ; rotational Reynolds number, 78000、156000、234000. This study focuses on the effects of the two kinds rib turbulators on the turbine disks and compares them with the smooth turbine disk without rib. The results reveal that the local heat transfer of the ribbed disk presents an up-and-down tendency and it is more pronounced for the disk with annual ribs. As to the upstream stator disk, comparing with the smooth disk, a ribbed one has better heat transfer performance. Whereas for the downstream rotor disk, radial ribs lead to best performance. The present study furthers understanding of the rib effects on heat transfer of the rotating system and, in practical applications, it is beneficial to the cooling design of turbine disks. Also, the results will be helpful to thermal-fluid design of other similar rotating machinery. |
