The Relations among Attachment, Peer Relationship,Romantic Relationship and Identity in Adolescence

Popis: | 95 The purposes of this study were: (1) understanding the present situation of the adolescent pwerental and peer attachment styles, peer and romantic relationships, and identity (2) recognizing the differences of the items above among adolescents of differ-ent gender and age (3) recognizing the differences of peer and romantic relationships, and identity among adolescents with different attachment styles (4) evaluating the cor-relations among attachments, relationships, and identity (5) predicting the identity from the attachments and relationships. Eight hundred and thirty-five participants were se-lected from three junior high schools, three senior high schools, and three vocational high schools by convenience sampling. The Experiences in Close Relationships Inven-tory(ECRI), the Network of Relationships Inventory(NRI), and the Aspect of Identity Questionnaire(AIQ-IV) were used in this study. The collected data were analyzed by the methods of descriptive statistics, 2 test, cluster analysis, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation, and multivariate regression to test the hypotheses. The results were listed in the following. (1) The attachment styles depended on gender and age. (2) Peer and romantic relationship depended on individual background. (3)The “Avoidant” attachment was negatively correlated with the peer and romantic re-lationships, and identity; the “Anxiety” attachment was negatively correlated with the “negative interaction” of peer and romantic relationships; the “Anxiety” attachment was positively correlated with the “social support” of peer and romantic relationships. Peer relationship, romantic relationship and identity were positively correlated with each other. (4) The identity could predicted their attachments and relationships. The sugges-tions were based on the results of the research which were proposed to supply to the educator, educational institution for the future studies. |
