| Popis: | 95 Unemployment has been a challenge all over the world. In Taiwan, the youth''s unemployment rate has been the worst of all ages groups. Due to the employment opportunities of the public and private sectors gradually shrink, the third sector becomes a possible field for youth''s employment. The research analyzes the practice of the Eden Social Welfare Foundation. The research methods adopted include literature review and questionnaire survey. Selectd 26 employers and 92 employees are surveyed. The aspects of labor demand and labor supply are explored for youth''s employment opportunities and challenges in the third sector. The major findings are the following: 1.The Eden Social Welfare Foundation''s employers prefer to employ the youth with a bachelor''s degree from relevant field, who have basic computer capability, and some related experiences. The youth had better possess personal characteristics of aggressive, enthusiasm, responsible and highly cooperated. The service projects woman or children prefer to hire female. A Christian or disabled youth may be employed priority. However, wages may impaire youth’s willingless to be hired. 2.The youths hired by the Eden Social Welfare Foundation usually possess personal interest, may apply their educational knowledge and be attracted by the well-knownness or scale and convenient transportation of the organization. Most employees express affirmative viewpoint in job evaluation and self-growth. But gender, age, willingness of staying employment and work department may influence the youth''s job evaluation. These may be challenges for youth''s employment in the third sector. |
