Supply Chain Strategic Structure in the Textile Industry - A SD Perspective

Competition-globalizing makes enterprises pay much attention on the issues of supply chain management. In the worldwide industry system, Taiwan has played a key role in many industries, especially the electronics and textile one making large trade surplus. Because of the change of global arrangement, industry economics, and value-chain, the textile industry, a manpower-based industry, is facing a difficult situation such as the cancellation of global fabric quota, the low-cost competition of emerging countries, and the development of regional economic forces the enterprises to deliberate their business model. However, when changing the new supply chain strategic structure, the corporations usually can not execute on the right way, the one of the reason is they don’t understand the related effect and policy lever to arrange inappropriate resource on the wrong place, and eventually cause a terrible circumstance. Therefore, this study firstly analyses the Taiwan enterprise’s textile strategic developing model, describes three sorts of strategic growth model contain nine sub-types, and explores the inside operation for understanding the interactive mechanism, secondly selects three meaningful supply chain strategic models to discuss their function mechanism, causal loop feedbacks, and SD models, and finally applies the DoE (Design of Experiment) to explain the trend and the results of simulation.
