This study aims to explore the influences and differences of the personal background, personal factors, family factors, and school factors in terms of the willingness for further study among vocational high school graduates in Taitung. Some suggestions are given for the educational authority, school administrators, and teachers to design the curriculum and counseling program. The development of vocational high schools, the condition of vocational high school students’ seeking for further study and the related factors are analyzed through literature. The questionnaires are given to vocational high school graduates (1089 students in total) from 5 schools in Taitung. The data is analyzed by average, percentage, standard deviation, t-test, Pearson’s product-moment correlation, one-way analysis of variance and Scheffe’ posterior comparisons. The results are as follows. 1. Vocational high school graduates in Taitung are willing to study further. They tend to choose the same major as theirs during vocational high school years for further study. The graduate himself/herself is the one who has the greatest influence on the willingness for further study. 2. The willingness for further study is significantly positively related to the personal factors, family factors and school factors. 3. There are significant differences in the willingness for further study, personal factors, and family factors among different gender, tribe, major, grade, and level of parents’ education. Significant differences are found between family factors and parents’ occupation. As for school factors, significant differences are found in different gender, major and grade.
