This research not only aimed to investigate the current status of the Chang-hua County primary school teachers’ cognition, attitude and education demand toward energy, but also explored the influence of demographic variables on the cognition, attitude and education demand toward energy. In addition, it probed the correlation among the cognition, attitude and education demand toward energy. In order to achieve the purposes of the research, the research constructed a questionnaire to collect the data of Chang-hua County primary school teachers’ cognition, attitude and education demand of energy. The research took 600 samples from the Chang-hua County primary school eligible teachers with proportional stratified random sampling. A total of 565 valid questionnaires were collected, and the percentage of valid responded questionnaires was 94.2%. The data were calculated by the software SPSS 10.0, and was analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation. The main conclusions were summarized as follows: 1.The Energy Cognition of the participants were acceptable passably. Their Energy Attitude was positive and active. Their Energy Education Demand was high, especially in energy saving aspect. 2.There was significant difference toward the Energy Cognition of the variant participants’ sex, location of the school, scale of the school, and experiences of workshops, but no significant difference for their age, level of education, years of service, and position. There was significant difference toward the Energy Attitude of the variant participants’ location of the school, and scale of the school, but no significant difference for their sex, age, level of education, years of service, position, and experiences of workshops. There was no significant difference toward the Energy Education Demand of the variant participants’ sex, age, level of education, years of service, position, location of the school, scale of the school, and experiences of workshops. 3. There was significant positive correlation between the Energy Attitude toward both cognition and education demand of the participants. However, there was no significant correlation between the Energy Cognition and education demand of the participants. Based on the above conclusions of the research, the following suggestions are proposed to primary school teachers, school administration, and government as reference: teachers should learn knowledge related to energy actively; school administration should propagate importance of the infusing Energy Education; government should hold more appropriate in-service training for teachers.
