The purpose of this study was to understand the direct entrance intention of the third graders in complete high schools, and to understand the factors which affect the direct entrance intention of the students with different background. The exponential distribution of the study was the third graders at the public and private complete high schools in Tainan City and Tainan County. The study was to explore the direct entrance intention of the students in the third grade and the factors which affect the intention by using stratified random sampling. The data from the questionnaires were analyzed by frequency distribution, percentage, T-TEST, and one way ANOVA, etc. The research conclusions were as follows: 1. The direct entrance intention of the students in the third grade in private complete high schools is higher than the direct entrance intention of those in the third grade in public complete high schools. 2. The direct entrance intention of the first 30 third graders is higher than the intention of the students after 31 in class. 3. Girl students think there are more important factors, including “tuition”, “course plan”, “management style”, “faulty of teachers”, “competition performance”,and “learning environment”. which influence their direct entrance intention than the boy students do. On the other hand, the only factor “the direct entrance intention of classmates” is higher in boy students than girl students do. 4. The factors that influence the direct entrance intention of the students in the private complete high schools is higher than the students in the public complete high schools, including “the direct entrance intention of classmates”, “course plan”, “the probability to enter college”, “management style”, “faculty of teachers”, “the personnel administration stability”, “the right of educational choice”, and “learning environment”. However, the factors that influence the direct entrance intention of the students in the public complete high schools is higher than the students in the private complete high schools, including “the situation of siblings’ direct entrance”, “the distance between the school and home”, “ the grades of enter CHS”, and “the convenient transportation”.The factors that influence the direct entrance intention of the students in the non-normalized classes are higher than the students in the normal classes in “school scholarship”, “the direct entrance intention of the students”, “equipments”, “recruitment of teachers”, “competition performance”, “ establishment of the non-normalized class”, “the right of educational choice”. 5. However, the importance of the factors that influence the direct entrance intention of the students in the normal classes is higher than the students in the non-normalized classes, including “the situation of siblings’ direct entrance”, “the grades of enter CHS”. 6. The importance of the factors that influence the direct entrance intention of the first 10 students in class is higher in “scholarship”, “the probability to enter higher school”, “the distance between the school and home”, “faculty of teachers”, “the competition performance”, “the establishment the non-normalized class”, “the right of educational choice”, “learning environment”, “management style”.The importance of the factors that influence the direct entrance intention of the students ranking from 11th to 20th in class is higher in “the academic achievement”, “parents’ expectation”, “course plan”, “management style”, faulty of teachers”, “the establishment of the non-normalized class”, “the right of educational choice”, “and “learning environment”. The importance of the factors that influence the direct entrance intention of the students ranking from 21th to 30th in class is higher in “faulty of teachers”. 7. The importance of the factors that influence the direct entrance intention of the students whose parents’ educational level above university is higher in “the probability to enter higher school”, “management style”, “the faculty of teachers”, “the right of educational choice”, and “learning environment”. On the other hand, the importance of the factors that influence the direct entrance intention of the students whose parents’ educational level in senior high schools is higher in “the faculty of teachers”, and “learning environment”. The findings obtained from this study attempted to provide concrete suggestions for complete high schools, and invite further research in the future.
