Popis: | 94 The last few years, the occurrence of crisis situations on school campuses has been quite common.Major campuses have experienced car accidents, suicides, sexual abuse, corporal punishment, teacher-student confrontations, campus violence, gang presence on the campus, typhoons, etc. which created great trauma to the person, their family, school personnel and society in general. Not only does the school need to work to prevent these crises from occurring, but they need to be prepared to handle the possibility of any type of situation that might occur.Since these crises can’t totally be avoided then how we most effectively take control of these moments by clearly and quickly taking effective emergency measures and paths to diffuse these instances can reduce the negative impact of them.Thus it is important to equally rely upon the preparation and training of the school and the wisdom of policy makers. This research will explore the difficulties that are faced by the crisis control personnel by Hualien County Junior High schools.The use of a questionnaire and interviews were used as a reference to understand the school’s organization and the current situation of their crisis control measures. Also provided were the Educational Administration Agency and the school’s close ties in order to reduce the possibility of conflict for the person, the family, the school and even society in general.This research made the following conclusions through the use of literature review, analysis, questionnaires, and interviews: 1. The most common problem that occurs in the work of crisis prevention is not being familiar with regulations, lack of experience, personnel and funds. Areas that the administration department can assist them is the creation of media spokesmen, problems on school campuses that are created by internet cafés, improved teaching of sexual education to aboriginal schools, and the reforming of boundaries of damage levels on campus.Crisis management prevention and rescue work needs to be concerned with the following areas, communication between the family members of the victim needs to occur after problems have occurred on campus, how to deal with public representatives and the media, the discipline and education problems of aboriginal students and the right given to schools in handling crises etc.Finally, in the work of restoring the norm during crisis management the following problems have occurred, the difficulty of dealing with the emotions of the victim’s family members and the burden created for the school during restoration work.There is a need for the administration department to provide professional advice and personnel and financial support. 2. This research learned that most schools have completed crisis management plans, but that they are not complete enough and that some schools took the education department’s management plans and made minor changes and has not really addressed the needs of the school, like school size, distances between cities and villages.These problems need to be addressed when the school develops their own crisis management plans otherwise the crisis management will be unable to be implemented effectively. 3. Junior High schools in Hualien County are smaller.Schools located in central and southern areas often have personnel deficiencies because of the transferring of personnel to other schools is common and this creates breaks in the different levels of crisis management carried out on the school campuses.The problems that the school faces and areas that need to be addressed by the administration can be handled effectively if the school develops an emergency plan and carries out educational training to assist in improving current problems and raise the effectiveness of the crisis management plan. |
