Popis: | 94 This study attempted to revise the present taxonomy of the genus Alpinia(Zingiberaceae)in Taiwan. There were 18 species and varieties, i. e. A. flabellata, A. formosana, A. galanga, A. intermedia var. intermedia, A. intermedia var. oblongifolia, A. japonica, A. kusshakuensis, A. lanyuensis, A. mesanthera, A. nantoensis, A. pricei, A. shimadai var. shimadai, A. shimadai var. kawakamii, A. shimadai var. sessiliflora, A. uraiensis var. uraiensis, A. uraiensis var. tonrokuensis, A. zerumbet var. zerumbet, A. zerumbet var. koshunensis. The scientific names, A. intermedia var. oblongifolia(Hayata)F. Y. Lu & Y. W. Kuo, A. shimadai var. sessiliflora(Kitamura)F. Y. Lu & Y. W. Kuo, A. uraiensis var. tonrokuensis (Hayata ) F. Y. Lu & Y. W. Kuo and A. zerumbet var. koshunensis(Hayata)F. Y. Lu & Y. W. Kuo were new combinations. Besides, two new species have been proposed, A. lanyuensis F. Y. Lu & Y. W. Kuo and A. nantoensis F. Y. Lu & Y. W. Kuo. The compositions of essential oils from rootstalk of these Alpinia taxa in Taiwan were investigated by GC and GC-MS. The results of cluster analysis showed the prime composition of the essential oils of each species. The geography and difference of habitats had effected the prime composition, therefore the composition of their essential oil can hardly supply the significant evidences for specific classification. The upmost compositions included: camphor, eucalytol, hexanedioic acid and nerolidol acetate. Some special essential oils such as: geraniol of A. galanga, α-cadinol of A. japonica and A. shimadai var. sessiliflora, camphor of A. zerumbet(north), borneol of A. zerumbet(south), apiol of A. flabellate, α-terpineol of A. zerumbet(east), fenchone of A. pricei and A. zerumbet var. koshunensis, eucalytol of A. zerumbet var. koshunensis, etc. were surely with pharmacognostic potentials and could be therefore proposed or promising medicinal plant resources. |
