Popis:	94 While a cable is under tension, it may be exerted by superimposed shock loads. It is usual practice to estimate the static capacities of the cables through experiment and appropriate safety factors. The influence and the importance of the stresses induced by the waves are neglected. In this paper, the influence of shock waves (including longitudinal and coupled torsional waves) on wire rope was reported. The analytical derivations were based upon Castello solution on force-deformation relation.
