With the trend of lifelong education and the diversification of teaching, e-learning will become the teaching method which develops the most quickly in the future in applying information science and technology. Yet, in addition to abundant teaching resources, improving students’ learning outcomes also needs the integration of new learning concepts and learning platforms. Besides, it still needs appropriate teaching theories and integral learning materials. This study applies the characteristics of visual situational context to classify the following items: framework, color, image-text arrangement, menu, setting, lighting, property, character, depth of field, lens, transition, dynamic film, sound, and window by cluster analysis. Besides, the four aspects of the interfaces on visual situated website-visual, mental, functional, and interactive-are discussed. At the same time, the researcher builds a visual situated learning website by using a realistic visual environment, makes a formative assessment, and revises the contents of the website according to the results of the assessment. The study result shows that visual situated learning websites can not only inspire learners’ learning motivation, but effectively integrate the advantages of traditional teaching and computer assisted instruction (CAI). Teachers can understand learners’ learning conditions in their learning processes. Besides, learners can use the characteristics of learning communities to exchange information and take the courses by their own as they wish. The study proves that visual situated websites can improve learners’ whole learning outcomes.
