The Research of Relationship among Personality, Job Performance, and Job Satisfaction—A Case Study of Water Resources Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs

Popis: | 94 This research is for the purpose of discussing the relationship of personality, job performance and job satisfaction of employees of Water Resource Agency, Ministry of Economic Affairs (hereinafter W.R.A., M.O.E.A.). The first step of doing this research is to consult relative domestic and international papers in order that personality inventories, job performance table and job satisfaction suitable for measurement can be as a tool for collecting empirical evidence. The data is collected by questionnaires for employees of W.R.A. and based on a stratified random sampling method with 500 questionnaires issued. With 500 questionnaires issued and 380 were collected at an effective rate of 72.8%, in which 16 questionnaires were invalid and left 364 ones at a rate of 72.8%. The study methods consist of Factor Analysis, MANOVA, Pearson Correlation Analysis, Canonical Correlation Analysis, Multiple Regression analysis and LISREL path analysis with trial hypnosis testimony. The result and finding are as follows: 1. With different backgrounds of employees (W.R.A., M.O.E.A.), there are significant differences of personalities, job performance, and job satisfaction. 2. For employees of (W.R.A., M.O.E.A.), there are connections amongst personalities, job performance, and job satisfaction. 3. For employees of (W.R.A., M.O.E.A.), there are positively relationships amongst personalities, job performance, and job satisfaction. 4. For employees of (W.R.A., M.O.E.A.), personalities such as openness, conscientiousness, extroversion, and agreeableness are positively related to job performance and job satisfaction; Job performance and job satisfaction are positively related; nervousness of personalities is negatively related to job performance and job satisfaction 5. The results of the stereotypical analysis of the effects of personalities and performance of employees (W.R.A., M.O.E.A.) on their job satisfaction show that personalities such as agreeableness, openness, extroversion work performance, civil manners, and task performance as a team are the best predictors of their job satisfaction. 6. Amongst personalities, job performance and job satisfaction of employees (W.R.A., M.O.E.A.), agreeableness, openness and extroversion are useful indication for the faculties work performance by Regression analysis. 7. The relationship amongst personality, job performance, and job satisfaction of employees (W.R.A., M.O.E.A.) is that personality affects job satisfaction by job performance and there is a casual relation between job performance and job satisfaction. |
