The diode laser system has several merits, such as firm, high efficiency, lower consumes energy power, and long service life, which becomes an new laser technology outside the traditional CO2 and Nd-YAG laser. The melting point of PMMA is not high; therefore the diode laser is a suitable method for joining the PMMA. The efforts of this study were concerned with the influence on the diode laser output, the focuses, and the traveling speed for joining the PMMA. Meanwhile, tensile tests and fracture analysis were evaluated the joint quality of PMMA and to find the best condition for joining the PMMA. We hope the results of this sturdy can provide the reference for the technological development in industry.
