A Study on the Current Situation of the Communization of High School Curriculum District Cooperation in Taipei City

Based upon the Communization of High School Curriculum District Cooperation in Taipei City, the researcher tried to examine the implemental situation and the difficulty Taipei City Government had met on the regional curricular cooperation project, and by understanding teachers'' point of view, the study offered specific and concrete advice toward this issue. Included school administrators and teachers, the researcher took 66 Senior High Schools and Vocational High Schools, which were members participating in the project, as population, and gave out 838 questionnaires. After invalid questionnaires were eliminated, the researcher got 574 valid questionnaires, so the valid rate was 68.4%. Combined with interviewing 10 expert principles and 16 students who had participated in the project, the data of the questionnaires was analyzed by using frequency distribution, percentage, independent samples t-test, one-way ANOVA, a posteriori multiple comparison--Scheffe'' method. At last, based on the results of this study, there were twelve main conclusions of this study: 1. The Regional Curriculum Cooperation project met philosophy, psychology, economy and sociology theories. 2. The hottest items in the Curriculum District Cooperation project were interscholastic course-taking and interscholastic course-offering. 3. The Senior High School and the Vocational High School took the most interest in general subject in the Curriculum District Cooperation project. 4. Compared with the Senior High School, the Vocational High School were more willing to shorten the difference between the Senior High School and the Vocational High School by joining the Curriculum District Cooperation project 5. Despite the background and the duty of the participants varied, they had the same point of view toward the Curriculum District Cooperation issue. 6. Vocational High Schools which located in Taipei City showed positive attitude toward Curriculum District Cooperation issue. 7. The Curriculum District Cooperation project lacked the government decree and system as its back up. 8. The outlay for Curriculum District Cooperation based upon the Communization of High School project was limited. 9. The subjects in the Curriculum District Cooperation did not be in keeping with the need of the students. 10. Taipei City Government should work harder on announcing the Curriculum District Cooperation policy. 11. Taipei City Government should integrate its human resources and organizations. 12. The net, software and hardware platform should be reinforced.
