The contribution of this study is to establish theoretical models in a three-car train of light rail vehicle. Using multi-body dynamics analytic theories of the full car and considers the rolling movement which is seldom touched upon in literature. The dynamic analysis of cars employs the longitudinal irregularities of track as the source of vibration. The entry of track irregularities is divided into 3 ways: step response, harmonic wave and track measurement. The paper uses the actual track measurement data as the analytic entries, The study is divided into the behavioral modes under time domain and frequency domain solution. By using Lagrange Equation, the movement equation of the theoretical model is inferred; and by using 4-order Runge-Kutta numerical method, the numerical solution supported by movement equation at each moment is acquired. After that, by using fast Fourier transform function, the frequency-domain solution supported by the system is also acquired. Besides, this paper investigates the Power Spectral Density which is less discussed in the literature. This research method is referential to the designers of rail vehicle, so that they can simulate the response of practical tracked car without actually hold the trial test. Besides, the result obtained from this study is an important referential data for the rail vehicle design.
