“Shishu” is located in the border are in south of Tainan City. Shinan Li (Sub-district) is the part where was firstly cultivated in entire Shishu area. In this village, Cai is the most common family name. Except for Cai, the main family names in this village include Cheng, Lin, Guo, Huang and Shu. The feature that people with the same family name inhabit in the same place still exists in this area. In this article, the clan pedigree of the main family names in this area is to be structured by the records of residential information and with the interviews of the local elders in order to explore the structure of patriarchal clan and identify the clan relationship in this area as well as other integration methods besides blood relationship. Due to the threat from the natural environment, traffic obstacle and insufficient space, presently, Shinan Li is gradually declining. The people moving out is the main reason. One local elder indicates that even people in Shinan Li move, most people move to other two sub-districts of Shishu area. It is the feature of this area. Therefore, the change of population structure in the village can be studied by exploring the population movement. Besides, it is discovered from the population movement information that the marriage relation is the main reason which causes the population movement in this area. With time transit, the marriage region gradually expands outwards. The marriage type also affects the family name structure in the village. The folk religion has the function of integrating people. Temple Wan-Huang is a public temple in Shishu Area. The Temple Jiao-Tou in Shinan Li has close correlation with the Chiefs of family name. Except for studying the folk religion in this area, the analysis for the organization of people behind and the research for how folk religions integrate people will also be made. Overall, this article uses population structure as its center and then explores the population organization by researching the integration force from the blood relationship, population movement and folk religions in the village.
