A Study on the Relationship among Work Values, Role Conflict and Job Involvement of Elementary School Administration Teachers

Popis: | 93 The main purpose of this study was to explore relationship among work values,role conflict and job involvement of elementary school administration teachers.There were three purposes in this study. First, to understand the situation of work values, role conflict and job involvement of elementary school administration teachers. Second, to explore the difference of work values, role conflict and job involvement of personal characteristics of elementary school administration teachers. Third, to explore the relationship among work values, role conflict and job involvement of elementary school administration teachers. To achieve the purposes above the methodology of literature analysis and questionnaire survey,the investigation was carried out through collecting effective questionnaires from 463 administration teachers in public elementary schools in Kaohsiung county and using the 「questionnaires for investigating the working performance of administration teachers in public elementary schools」designed by the author. The content includes questions about work values, role conflict and job involvement of administration teachers in public elementary schools. The statistical methods include t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and Pearson’s product-moment correlation. Following conclusions were drawn from this study: 1. The current condition of work value is ated“intermediate-high”. And the most emphasized work value of those elementary school administration teachers in Kaohsiung county was on「relationship of social」. 2. The current condition of role conflict is ated“intermediate” And the most emphasized role conflict of those elementary school administration teachers in Kaohsiung county was on「professional role conflict」. 3. The current condition of job involvement is ated “intermediate-high”. And the most emphasized job involvement of those elementary school administration teachers in Kaohsiung county was on「absorbed in working」. 4. The individual or overall work values were affected by gender, marital status and the years in working while not affected by office duty and school atterns. 5. The individual or overall role conflict were affected by gender, marital status, office duty and the years in working while not affected by school patterns. 6. The individual or overall job involvement were affected by gender, marital status and the years in working while not affected by office duty and school patterns. 7. For elementary school administration teachers with higher job value, there was much more involvement on job. 8. There exist a negative correlation between role conflict and job involvement. According to the conclusions, some suggestions were proposed. |
