| Popis: | 93 The Orthogonal Variable Spreading Factor channelization codes are widely used to provide the variable data rate and support different bandwidth requirements for users in the WCDMA system. Two important issues in the OVSF domain are the problems of code assignment and reassignment. The code assignment has the significant impact on the code utilization and code blocking probability. In order to reduce the code blocking probability, the code reassignment mechanism is invoked to schedule a larger continuous space to meet the requirement of the call request. Many works in the literature have been intensively investigated the code assignment and code reassignment schemes in the OVSF code tree to reduce the code blocking probability and reassignment cost. Our proposal is to reserve a part of bandwidth in the OVSF tree to reduce the blocking probability of the larger bandwidth request. We also put the larger bandwidth request into the queue to wait enough bandwidth and to assign them. |
