Popis: | 93 The in-building low-voltage power-line networks are a convenient and low cost medium for digital communications. However, since power-line networks are not originally designed for communication, it may suffer from a lot of channel degradation and interference to transmit high-speed signals on them. In this thesis, we have studied the characteristics of power-line channel which include the various types of noises, the time-varying impedance and the attenuation. We have built a power-line channel model for simulations. We design a FEC coded system based on the HomePlug 1.0 Specification to reduce the effects of the narrowband interferences presented in the power-line networks. We propose a bit and power allocation scheme with low complexity to enhance the system capacity of the power-line communication at a target bit error rate. |
