環境倫理價值觀融入國小生活課程之行動研究

Popis: | 92 Environmental education is one of the important issues in present society! Ecological value grows out of one’s knowledge of the physical world and forms when one is able to make his own judgment of values. Environmental ethics should be taken as the core curriculum for putting environmental education into practice. This research is a curriculum action research done by an elementary school teacher. The main teaching strategy adopted in the study is the method of experiencing ecology. The research applies it in the daily life courses among a group of elementary students in the second grade to help them develop environmental ethics. This research aims to evaluate and correct the teaching by the world view of the children. The research process can be divided into research beginning period, curriculum developing period, curriculum executing period, curriculum correcting period, and curriculum re-executing period. The methods of data collecting include interview, activity observation record, student information and teacher’s examination notes. The data is analyzed and interpreted by children’s world view!The study shows that student’s character has an influence the learning of environmental ethics concepts. The main conclusions are as follows: (1)For students with Human-centered ethics, teachers should guide them to discover the environment around them by using the physical experience materials. The number of students goes down from 58.7% to 23.3% after the teaching.(2)For students with Life-centered ethics, teachers should add the concepts, such as “Death Education” and “ respect for life”, into their teaching strategies. This will provides students with the opportunity to express their inner feelings. The number of students increases from 14.2% to 20 % after the teaching.(3)For students with Ecological ethics, teachers should provide with more opportunities for developing their ability of critical thinking. The number of students goes up from 20.8% to 56.7% after teaching.(4)For students with other environmental ethics value, teachers need to make a clear and careful observation record; furthermore, they should have an open mind to respect and accept students’ opinions instead of making them become another reproduction of teacher’s thinking.Research has found out that after the environmental ethic teaching, students tend to have the both the character of Life-centered ethics and Ecological ethics, which implies there is a positive result on the development of student’s environment ethic value if suitable and correct teaching strategy are adopted. Researcher hopes to continue developing environmental ethics curriculum and regular environmental teaching materials on different grades of students. |
