The objectives of this thesis are to review regulations related to dangerous goods to survey airline dangerous goods transport systems, and to investigate passengers’ knowledge about dangerous goods and their satisfaction with dangerous goods publicizing. We interviewed experts that have professional knowledge and experiences about dangerous goods and conducted a passenger survey about dangerous goods. The interview results showed that the regulations of dangerous goods are under the process and experts suggested that the responsibilities of owners, shippers, and air cargo forwarders be included in the regulations. In addition, experts also suggested that governments set up a dangerous goods database for research and practical applications. The results of analyzing questionnaires showed that not every passenger understands dangerous goods and passengers were not satisfied with dangerous goods publicizing at airports. Consequently, we suggest that the regulations of dangerous goods be completed and applied, transport industries set up a complete database of dangerous goods. We also recommend that airlines publicize dangerous goods with airport authorities, and even extend the educations to high-school students.
