Popis: | 92 The purpose of this study was to investigate the status of Arts-in-Life in senior high school curriculum, the needs of teachers on further education concerning curriculum, and their points of view on the draft of new Arts-in-Life curriculum that will be implemented in 2005. Additionally, this study may predict the feasibility of the new plan. This study included a questionnaire survey and interviews to investigate high school music teachers from 52 senior high schools in the four counties/cities in Central Taiwan. A total of 55 questionnaire copies were sent on November 10, 2003, the valid return rate was 76.4%. Two music teachers from each of the four counties/cities were randomly selected for the interview. The results of the data analysis found that 85% senior high schools never offered Arts-in-Life curriculum. In the 15% senior high schools, the main teaching content of the Arts-in-Life curriculum was Music (Time Art). Music teachers possessed positive motivation to pursue continuous study; however, few training programs offered. Concerning the points of view on the draft of new arts-in-life curriculum, participants thought that the perspectives of teachers were the key factors that may impact on the success of the new curriculum. Participants suggested that the training workshops needed to recognize teachers’ needs. School administrators should arrange new courses considering teachers’ specialties, and solve the problems and gaps between and among teaching in urban and rural areas, in order to promote the use of community art resources in arts education. |
