The purpose of this study was to explore career development and its affected factors of female executives in culture-education and social-welfare foundations. With the multiple cases of qualitative research and the semi-structured interview outline, the data was collected from the in-depth interviews. The researcher interviewed seven female executives. After the interviews, the content was transcribed from the tape to word processor files and anal sized. In conclusion, many female executives’ parental upbringing mixed democracy with authority. Parents and teachers’ expectations would affect female executives’ occupation directly or indirectly. Female executives had different working experiences while studying at school. Female executives should take responsibly of upbringing of their children. Female executives’ occupational selection relied mainly on their interest. The direction of female career development is multiple. Work situation and occupational prestige would affect job transition. Besides, important others would affect female executives’ personality, attitude and value.
