Quality is the life of an enterprise, and due day is its life source, both of which are equally important in enterprise administrative management. In order to meet customers’ due day, the routing and the scheduling of production are the cores of enterprise planning, whose interactions are inseparable. Because the routing depends more on the initiative of the supplier, who has more flexibility in planning the type of production, in providing inventory, and in utilizing the method and the batch of production, allowing the salesmen to directly receive their orders, the routing does not have that much problem concerning meeting customers’ due day. However, if the production is based on orders, especially the multi-faceted and lean production, the plan of the scheduling will become much more important than that of the routing. In the recent years, because of the rapid development of information technology and worldwide web, local economic marketing in the past has been transformed into globalized and mutual economic marketing. If an enterprise takes the advantage of the obtainment and the application of information technology, utilizing it into scheduling to replace the traditional method of manual scheduling, and making this knowledge management foundational, the enterprise should gain the upper hand in the midst of competitive corporations in the world, facilitating the development of the enterprise. Therefore, this study develops a knowledge-based process design for producing schedule information systems, using a company as a case study, utilizing the process analysis with an example of product scheduling.
