The statistical methods used to analyze the data were one-way repeated measures ANOVA, t-test, Hotelling’s T2, multiple regression analysis, Canonical correlation, one-way ANOVA, and one-way MANOVA. The major findings were as the following: (1) For the group of single-parent subjects, the score on career interest is the highest, but the career knowledge is the lowest. (2) Gender in whole career self-concept was not significant for high school students from a single-parent family. (5) The differences in the reasons of being single-parent, the time of losing parent, and the attachment to single-parent of high school students from a single-parent family on career self-concept were not significant. (6) The indulgent-protective parenting could predict career self-concept negatively; however the democratic-authoritative parenting could predict positively. (7) The democratic-authoritative parenting was related to career ability positively, the authoritarian parenting was related to career value positively, the democratic-authoritative parenting was related to career aspiration positively, the democratic-authoritative parenting was related to career interest positively, among them, the first correlation is the highest. (8) The subjects who participated more school activities and had higher influence to peers had higher career self-concept. (9) No significant difference existed between single-parent subjects and parental subjects regarding their career self-concept.
